I'm not impressed by the incompetence of the new furniture shop manager...
I ordered a computer desk through one of the staff, and she said it would be 2 weeks for delivery. No worries. I finally get a call to come and collect it, so I arrange to borrow the ute and get it at lunch time. I get there and they spend 20 minutes searching for it before bringing out the wrong one.
"Ohh", says the manager, "it must be at our offsite warehouse...". I had already said that was where it was, because the staff member that rang had told me.
Anyway, I meet them out there and she's forgotten her keys. So another 15 mins passes while the keys are retrieved and then another 15 mins while they search for the desk...
"Umm, we can't find it...", says the stores bloke, "We'll find it, if not we'll get it up from Perth and deliver it for free tomorrow."
I'm happy with this, so off I toddle after spending an hour waiting around.
So yesterday was 'tomorrow' and I call the manager to make sure it's all happening.
"It's still in Perth and won't be here until next Wednesday..."
Boy, was I ropeable, but I kept a civil tongue, knowing I'd get nothing at all by getting nasty.
I told her that I had been told it would be delivered overnight, and she replied that wouldn't happen because it was too expensive and they only had deliveries two times a week.
She's obviously not too concerned about keeping the customer happy. By Wednesday it will be just under one month from when I ordered it. Fk you very much!!
