Cigarette sales ban 'needed by 2050'
For the most part I agree with the above story, but this bit is kind of weird, " People would still be able to get cigarettes if they went to a GP and got a script."
I can see it now... "Doc, I've got a deathwish, give us a script for some ciggys would ya..."
Here's my idea... Add another 'tax' to cigarettes, say another $5 per packet, and call it a 'health care levy'. This would help cover the $millions it costs to look after the smokers that are suffering from smoking related health problems. Either that or force them to stop because its too expensive.
That would probably backfire, because they would starve their kids before going without cigarettes...
